GA HIMSS David Cowan 2018 Scholarship Update:

 The Georgia chapter of HIMSS awarded 8 scholarships for $3K each.

The highlight of the evening during the Inaugural Gala was awarding scholarships to eight very accomplished students to finish degrees related to Healthcare Management and Technology, MS Health and Systems, and Healthcare Informatics and Management.  The degrees being pursued were for undergraduate, masters and PhD studies. 
Georgia HIMSS is hugely proud to be able to support these rising stars.

2018 David Cowan Scholarship Application Process

The application deadline is April 20, 2018.

GA HIMSS Scholarship Application

 

This year we are offering up to 6 scholarships for post-secondary students (from technical school to graduate school) currently enrolled a Health Information Technology program (or Health Informatics program or closely related program) in an accredited school in the state of Georgia. The amount of each scholarship will be between $3,000 and $4,000, depending on total funds raised and number of selected recipients.

 

Completed applications and reference letters are due by Friday, April 20th, 2018.
 

 

We will announce the winners at this year’s Inaugural Gala on May 3rd and Annual Golf Classic and Fundraiser on May 4th, 2018.

Beatrix Balogh

Beatrix is in her final semester to receive her Masters in Health Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech.

Joseph Knipe

Joseph is starting is final semester at Georgia Tech to receive his Masters in Health Systems.

Alexis Bell

Alexis is in her final year at Coastal College of Georgia’s Business Administration program.
